We start with a free 30-minute call to explore the problem and assess fit. If the situation calls for deeper, structured analysis, Technical Discovery is a formal paid engagement: a 1–2 hour session with a written options document delivered within 48 hours.

D–01 2–4 distinct technical approaches

Not one answer with caveats. Multiple real options — different architectures, different tradeoffs, different price points. You choose which direction fits your constraints.

D–02 Honest cost estimates per approach

Each approach comes with a realistic build cost range. No vague "it depends." If we can't estimate it, we say why and what information would close the gap.

D–03 Off-the-shelf vs. custom assessment

We tell you what's available as a SaaS product, what can be built in n8n or Clay, and what genuinely needs custom Python. No bias toward the build option.

D–04 You own the document

The options document is yours regardless of what you decide to build next. Take it to another builder, use it to brief your internal team, or shelve it. No strings attached.

04 / After you book What happens, in order

From booking to options document.

Book a free 30-minute call via Cal.com. We explore the problem, assess fit, and confirm which Discovery tier is right. No commitment at this stage.

We agree on the tier and send an invoice. Session is scheduled within 5 business days of invoice settlement. You get a calendar invite and a short prep questionnaire — five questions, ten minutes.

The session runs. 1–2 hours on video call. You describe the problem, the data sources, the constraints, the outcome you want. We ask clarifying questions. No slides, no deck — it's a technical working session.

Options document delivered within 48 hours. Written, structured, with 2–4 approaches, cost estimates, and our honest recommendation. You own it.

You decide what to do next. If you want to build with us, we scope and quote based on the options document — no second session required. If you go elsewhere or build internally, the document is yours.

What if the options document doesn't help me decide?
That hasn't happened yet. But if you feel the document missed the problem, email us. We'll do a 30-minute follow-up call at no extra charge to clarify. We're not interested in delivering a document you can't use.
Do I have to build with rowbots after?
No. The document is yours. Take it to another builder, your internal team, or use it to write an RFP. We don't gate the output on continued engagement. That's the point of paying for it.
What if I know exactly what I need built?
Skip Discovery. Email us with the scope and we'll quote it in one call. Technical Discovery is for situations where the problem is clearer than the solution. If both are clear, we go straight to scoping.
Can I expense this?
Yes. We issue invoices with full line-item detail. The session is a professional consulting service. Standard business expense.
